Recycle your house paint in your art

Since college I have been using leftover house paint to prime my canvases. Many communities offer free paint at a collection point for disposal. Rediscover a new color combination by picking up old paint to use.

If you can't do your art today, take a few moments and look at other art Everyday as an artist has many challenges. The first one is just to start, pull out the paper, mix the paint, sketch out your idea.......sometimes it is hard to get to the first step so... leaf through an art book or just look at greeting cards when you go to the store!!

Find inspiration anywhere I found two antique children's alphabet blocks with animals on one side letters on the other. I might use them on wires to spin on some new assemblage pieces or scan in the 'M' or 'N' to use for a great a looking letter. Also located are some beautiful hand colored fabric and tile illustrations....not sure how I will use them or when. Poking through ephemera is always interesting.
